Instructions
- Make the sauce: Whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, ketchup, mustard, pickle juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Refrigerate until ready to use.
- Season the beef: Divide the ground beef into 6 portions and gently form into patties. Season both sides with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Toast the buns: Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Place the buns cut-side down and toast for 1–2 minutes until golden.
- Cook the burgers: Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3–4 minutes per side, or until cooked to your preferred doneness.
- Add cheese: Place a slice of cheddar on each patty during the final minute of cooking. Cover the skillet briefly to help the cheese melt.
- Build the burgers: Spread the burger sauce generously over the toasted buns. Add lettuce, the cheesy beef patty, crispy bacon, pickles, onion, and tomato if using.
- Finish: Add another spoonful of sauce on top, place the bun over the burger, and serve immediately.
